Yellowstone National Park was established in 1872 and is located in the Western United States, State of Wyoming. It is considered one of the most scenic wonders and the World's first National Park. The park accounts for its splendid water pools, boiling pools, geysers, volcanoes, hot springs, mountain lakes, beautiful twisting red and yellow canyon, a wealth of wildlife and spectacular waterfalls.
Native Americans lived in the Yellowstone region and were visited by mountain men during the 19th century. Exploration of the Yellowstone region began only in the late 1860s. The area is protected by hundreds of structures that are built to preserve the architectural and historical significance of the park. The Caldera is considered a dormant volcano and most of the Yellowstone land area is covered by volcanic eruptions.Yellowstone region is a fabled and wilderness fantasy of nature. There are remote lakes, forests, meadows and forests that habitats wildlife. These places are perfects spots for camping, taking photos and fishing. The landscapes of Yellowstone tells the stories of rocks and the presence of hot springs, pools, mud volcanoes, and mineral deposits. The exhibits tell about the plants and wildlife of the national park. One of the world-famous geysers, the Old Faithful Geyser is located in Yellowstone Park.

The Yellowstone part presents the most beautiful canyons, alpine rivers with a canopy of lush green forests. The region is amazing with mountains and majestic rock formations. The best times to visit the park is from April to May and between September and October. One can explore the places by riding, climbing, boating, fishing, hiking and sightseeing. During winter guided tours are arranged by snow coaches or snowmobiles.
Yellowstone is a paradise for photographers, nature lovers and biologists. It is famous for its bears which are of two kinds. The huge bear is seldomly seen and the smaller black bear is dangerous. The park is a habitat for many different species of animals such as Mule Deer, American elk, herds of bison, Moose, Bighorn Sheep and pronghorn. The wildlife also includes Grizzly bears, Canadian lynx, and Gray wolves.

Among the feathered birds found in Yellowstone Park is the rare trumpeter swan. This spectacular bird is seen only in the ponds and lakes. Other birds seen are the White Pelicans, Dipper, Bald Eagle and the osprey. Pelicans are commonly found floating on the park's waters. Some of the birds are found submerged along the mountain streams.
The hot springs are colourful to watch as the microbes such as algae and bacteria along with minerals presents a brilliant view of varied colours. The plants include the noble Douglas fir, Indian Paintbrush and Yellowstone's wildflower. The park has hundreds of geysers that erupts at regular intervals into hot water springs.
Yellowstone Park is named after the Yellowstone River. The park was established with the aim of protecting and preserving the extraordinary features of the thermal bodies such as the hot springs, geysers and boiling mud pots. It is one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries of the Western Hemisphere. To see the beauty and the land spaces, one has to travel for long miles of well-marked trails. During the winter season, the place is enchanting with snowfall and it can be explored by snowshoes and snowmobiles or snow coaches.

One of the most beautiful breathtaking features of Yellow Stone Park is the deep canyon carved by the flowing Yellowstone River. The lovely Waterfall is called the ' Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone'. Lying beneath the Yellowstone National Park is one of the world's largest active volcanoes.
Yellowstone is named the UNESCO World Heritage Site. A variety of species have been recorded some of them are endangered or threatened. Forest fires also occur every year, in 1988 the forest fires destroyed about one-third of the park. One can experience enthralling scenic adventures all through the year. Thousands of people from across the globe visit Yellowstone Park to have glimpses of the wonders of nature.
